Sewing Class: Mending & Repurposing

Event Details

Learn how to mend clothing on a sewing machine and also transform old garments into new items using basic sewing techniques. The class starts with introducing the guidelines for repurposing and the best way to repair different types of damage. The instructor then demonstrates basic sewing techniques, such as seam-ripping, cutting fabric, patching, darning, or reinforcing, and hemming.

The library will provide the sewing machines.

Bring any clothing items that you have that you would like to mend, hem or repurpose.
